AMHERST, Mass. – Halloween treats on tap for students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst include 6,500 pounds of lobster, 600 pounds of steak, 1,500 pounds of chicken and 1,200 portions of eggplant. All four dining commons on campus are preparing to serve up the Maine lobsters, New York strip steaks and Aubergine (roasted eggplant) with goat cheese and fruited couscous Oct. 29 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. as part of the Halloween special offered each year by the UMass Dining Services department.
