A significant proportion of people who have had COVID-19, known as “long-haulers,” suffer from prolonged symptoms and chronic fatigue. Therapies that can be performed at home and accelerate physical recovery need to be developed.

Researchers in the department of kinesiologyare currently comparing the effects of local heat therapy to exercise training on physical function in those who have previously had COVID-19 and are experiencing lasting symptoms, as heat therapy might be a more practical solution and still provide a large gain in function for many patients.

They are recruiting participants who are experiencing lasting COVID-19 symptoms who are between the ages of 45 to 85. Participants will be compensated for their time.
