School of Public Policy Announces Spring Colloquia

The School of Public Policy (SPP) has announced its spring colloquia, with faculty from across campus speaking on feminist theory and management, the opioid epidemic and campaign finance reform.

The colloquia provide an opportunity for SPP students and faculty to connect with other UMass Amherst colleagues and discuss connections between their research areas and public policy. The talks, which are free and open to the public, will be followed by a question-and-answer period. 

This semester’s SPP colloquia are:

• “Management, Organization, and Feminist Theory: Why Then? Why Now?,” by Linda Smircich and Marta Calás, professors in the Isenberg School of Management, on Monday, March 4, at 12:15 p.m. in Thompson 620.

• “Addressing Opioid Use Disorders among Criminally Involved Adults,” by Elizabeth Evans, assistant professor in the School of Public Health and Health Sciences, on Monday, April 1, 12:15 p.m. in Thompson 620.

• “Trade-offs in Campaign Finance Reform: Less Money or More Donors,” by Meredith Rolfe, associate professor of political science in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, on Monday, April 22, at 12:15 p.m. in Thompson 620.
