Participants Needed for Study on Vision

The Computational Memory and Perception lab at UMass Amherst is seeking paid volunteers for a study that investigates vision in normal, healthy adults.

Researchers use straightforward, computer-based tests, collecting button presses on a keyboard to measure performance.

Participants will be seated in front of a computer screen, wear specialized 3D glasses, asked to look at visual images (e.g., pictures of objects, faces or scenes, or written words) and make button presses in response to questions about the images. Some of the images will be presented alongside many, rapidly flashing squares.

Researchers will collect only button-press responses; no brain scanning will take place. The study is about 60 minutes in length. It takes place in the laboratory of researchers. Rosie Cowell and David Huber in Tobin Hall at UMass Amherst.

Participants will be compensated for the time you spend participating at a rate of $15/hour, rounded up to the nearest 20 minutes. Additionally, they will receive a $5 bonus for showing up. Contact cmaplab@gmail.com to sign up for a session.
