Shannon Roberts, associate professor of mechanical and industrial engineering, will share her journey to engineering, research and academia at Pizza and Prof Night, Thursday, April 9, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Honors Events Hall.

Pizza and Prof Night is an opportunity for students get to know a professor on a more personal level, getting the chance to explore and connect with faculty to inspire future research. Offered by the Commonwealth Honors College (CHC), the event is open to all members of the university community with pizza provided.

Roberts, who studies the relation between drivers and vehicles, using technology and infrastructure as the guide, will touch on her experiences navigating higher education, identifying her passion, and advising students on how they can take action.

Though not required, registration to attend the event is highly encouraged.
