UMass ADVANCE is seeking applications and nominations for 2020-21 ADVANCE Faculty Fellows. The fellowship provides faculty members with a unique opportunity to participate in ADVANCE’s program of institutional transformation to cultivate faculty equity, inclusion and success, especially for women and minority faculty in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Fellows partner with the ADVANCE Leadership Team to provide the resources, recognition and relationship building necessary to help faculty collaborate successfully and feel valued and included. Fellows also provide recommendations and feedback to the team about ADVANCE programming and resources, and, liaise with their departments to promote ADVANCE programs.

“As we seek to create sustainable change advancing success and satisfaction for women and minority faculty, we know the best ideas come from faculty on the ground.” said Joya Misra, Principal Investigator for the ADVANCE team. “We are grateful for the guidance of our fellows.”

UMass ADVANCE is Funded by the National Science Foundation ADVANCE Program and focuses on equity for women faculty in STEM by gender, race/ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, nationality, and other statuses. As the program aims to bring about institutional transformation, faculty from all departments are encouraged to apply.
