Spring 2026 Webinars
Most UMass students study abroad during their spring semester. Applications for spring 2027 study abroad are open now in spring 2026. Learn more about supporting your student through planning their study abroad, including researching their program, completing the application (and visa!) process, and making a plan to pay for study abroad. Come away with helpful questions to ask your student so they stay on track with their study abroad plans and manage other areas of their life at UMass.
Transitioning from first to second year can bring about changes and challenges for students. Join Alyssa Cote, Assistant Director for Student Success Persistence Programs, to learn what differences students can expect as sophomores compared to when they were in their first year of college. We’ll discuss topics such as living on-campus, advising and course registration, career and professional development, off-campus opportunities, and more! We’ll also provide information about campus resources for each of these areas and leave plenty of time for Q&A.
This session provides guidance on planning for Spring 2026 move-out, including important deadlines, preparation strategies, and available resources to ensure a smooth transition for students and families.
An overview for new families on what to expect this summer, including key dates, resources, and ways to support your student’s transition to campus life. Families will also hear about Ready for the U and our summer orientation experience, providing insight into how students will engage and prepare for the year ahead.
