NEUTC was thrilled to welcome students from Holyoke Community College and Bunker Hill CC to the University of Massachusetts Amherst for a day of learning, exploration, and connection. Students toured the HPL Driving Simulator, experienced a live drone demonstration with hands-on flying practice, and explored Streetmix and micromobility concepts. Of course, the visit wouldn’t have been complete without lunch at Worcester Dining Commons. The group also connected with current RIDE REU students through a panel discussion, gaining valuable insight into the world of undergraduate research.
HCC was also able to visit the UMass Transportation Center (UMTC) at Westover Air Base for a tour and a demonstration using the 360 Air Traffic Control Simulator.
