Marisa E. Auguste

Ms. Auguste is a research associate at the Connecticut Transportation Safety Research Center (CTSRC). Conducting social science research in transportation, her primary focus is on human behavior in the driving environment. A large part of her work involves analyzing statewide data to identify variables or patterns of behavior that are correlated with increased motor vehicle crash risk. Her research projects have focused on COVID-19’s impact on crashes and transportation, the mobility and travel behavior or teens, cannabis use and driving, and pedestrian safety education. Utilizing a background in sociology, psychology, and criminal justice, Ms. Auguste relies on theories and behavior modification practices based in these disciplines. Her research has been published in Accident, Analysis & Prevention, Injury Prevention, and Transportation Research Interdisciplinary Perspectives.
