Professor of Music Education Lisa Lehmberg has co-edited a new book titled Meanings of Music Participation: Scenarios from the United States which was published in late August by Routledge.

Earlier this year, the UMass Vocal Jazz Group, directed by Catherine Jensen-Hole, was among the winners in the 2022 Student Music Awards sponsored by DownBeat Magazine.

Associate Professor of Music History Emiliano Ricciardi has been awarded a 3-year, $224,688 grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for his Tasso in Music Project.
