Guest Artist Concert: Elizabeth Morgan, piano

Lecture/Recital of Music by Female Composers in the U.S.

Dr. Morgan describes: This project is a lecture/recital of concert works by female composers in the United States, from the mid-19th century through today, including several works by living composers and one commission, and including Latina, Black, Asian American, and Native American women. Remarks will include brief historical information about the composers and pieces as well as commentary on the ways that gender and identity have influenced our understanding of American music history.
