Dance Greats on ZOOOOM! features leaders from the world of dance meeting with students, staff, faculty and alumni. Participants gather on Zoom once a month to learn from the most successful people working in the field of dance today. Representing all different sectors and genres of the dance world, featured artists include UMass alumni who have gone on to do great work in dance. Dance Greats on ZOOOOOM! connects UMass Dance with the wide-ranging dance world beyond our halls and, just as importantly, keeps the outside dance world connected to the UMass Dance Program.
During Dance Greats, featured guests are interviewed by current UMass dance majors, followed by an open Q&A session. After the presentation, a short monthly meeting is held where students and alumni can share ideas, promote projects, advertise jobs, brainstorm, schmooze, whatever! Dance Greats on ZOOOOOM! brings dance alumni (new and old) and current students together in a new and exciting way so that we, as a community, can build and strengthen UMass Dance now and into the future.
