25th Annual High School Jazz Festival

Register to bring your jazz ensemble =>

Featuring performances by H.S. jazz ensembles from around the region, plus UMass' Jazz Ensemble I

* All sizes of ensembles are welcome

* Participating ensembles will receive feedback from guest adjudicators as well as UMass faculty

* Ensembles will receive a post-performance clinic from a UMass faculty member

* Special instrumental masterclasses will be available for all during the afternoon

* Gerry's Music will have a booth on-site (with instruments, accessories, etc.)

* Scholarships for 2023 Jazz in July will be awarded

* Special guest Sean Jones will give a clinic as well as a performance in Tillis Hall in the evening

How do I register my program for the event? Contact umassjazzfest@gmail.com and attach a completed registration form.

Where is the event located? The UMass Amherst Bromery Center (formerly Fine Arts Center)! The address is 151 Presidents Dr, Amherst, MA 01003. Once you're in the Bromery Center, student chaperones will escort your group to the designated event spaces!

Are there dining options available on campus? UMass Amherst sports the nation's most awarded dining facilities! If you'd like to bring your program to one of the dining halls, please contact UMass Dining Services (information for which can be found here: https://umassdining.com/)

How can I purchase tickets for the Sean Jones Quartet? Contact umassjazzfest@gmail.com and attach a completed order form.

How long will each group have to perform? Each ensemble will have a 25 minute warm-up period, 25 minutes to perform, and then a 25 minute clinic with a UMass faculty member/adjudicator. Most groups will prepare 2-3 tunes for the event.
