Dance Opportunities
Dance Opportunities
Most music ensembles perform on campus 2–4 times a year. The choral, wind, orchestral, jazz, and early music ensembles include many non-music majors and Five College students. Percussion and chamber ensembles consist mainly of UMass music majors.
In addition to performing on campus, ensembles have also been selected to represent UMass Amherst at conventions and festivals that have included Symphony Hall in Springfield, MA; the Washington, DC home of the Marine Band; and the Capitol Building in Boston.
Dance Performance Opportunities
There are numerous choreographic and performance opportunities both at the university and in Five College Dance. Students may audition for any concert produced by a Five College institution. These include faculty and student concerts, graduate thesis concerts, and the Five College Dance Faculty Concert.
