The Listening Room, Ep. 16: Birth of the Cool
The UMass Music faculty performs the seminal Birth of the Cool album (1949), which featured Miles Davis in a nonet ensemble, with arrangements primarily by Gerry Mulligan.
In conjunction with the 7:30pm performance of Jazz Showcase: Spotlight on the Musical World of Miles Davis.
