HerbFest is an annual celebration of medicinal and aromatic plants presented by students in the UMass Plant & Soil Sciences course, STOCKSCH 280- Herbs, Spices, and Medicinal Plants. In preparation for HerbFest, each student in the class creates a display featuring a way in which a certain plant(s) can be used. This an opportunity for you to discover new herbs, spices and medicinal plants and to learn about the importance of these plants in day to day life.

Who goes to Herbfest?: Local students, teachers schools, farmers, plant enthusiasts, herbalists, folks from the UMass community, and students of all ages from the Pioneer Valley and beyond.

What can you do at Herbfest?: You can sample exotic foods and beverages made with herbs and spices, smell aromatherapy formulas, soaps, candles or see fabrics dyed with plant extracts, learn how to make herbal remedies, receive a henna tattoo or pick up some locally grown herbs.
