The Microbiology major provides rigorous training in cellular and molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and immunology. Students apply concepts from molecular biology, genetics, environmental systems, and disease with real world results. The biology of microorganisms holds solutions to some of humans’ most pressing problems and keys for how to live healthy, prosperous, and equitable lives.
