Mount Ida students in the veterinary technology program do NOT need to apply for transfer admission into UMass Amherst. The transfer admission process will be performed by UMA for all students currently enrolled in this program who have indicated their interest in continuing in the program.
All other Mount Ida students interested in transfer admission to one of the UMass campuses should follow the transfer admission process at each campus (see the Resource Guide for links to each campus’s Admissions website).
MIC students in good standing can take advantage of a special and streamlined process for transferring to UMass Dartmouth. For more information, follow the UMass Dartmouth link in the Resources Guide.
Portfolio requirements for transfer admissions for BFA programs have been waived for UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, and UMass Lowell.
Transfer admissions application fees have been waived for all UMass campuses.
The transfer admissions application deadline is September 1, 2018 for UMass Amherst*, UMass Dartmouth, and UMass Lowell and August 27, 2018 for UMass Boston.
* UMass Amherst Priority deadline: The priority deadline for applications is July 16, 2018. Deposit requirements have been waived for UMass Amherst, UMass Boston, UMass Dartmouth, and UMass Lowell.
