The goal is to capture Chern-Simons theory in an axiomatic framework (eventually), so we'll review some approaches to defining QFT as a mathematical object. We will explore the Wightman axioms (and constructive QFT) and potentially begin discussing the Haag-Kastler axioms (and algebraic QFT).
