We will discuss deformation theory of singularities, mostly following Artin's lecture notes ( https://people.math.umass.edu/~hacking/seminarF12/artin.pdf ).
Specifically, we will discuss the notion of flatness in terms of syzygies, versal deformations, first order deformations, and, if time allows, smoothing of singularities.
