Bartu Bingol: An equation without a root

Let us consider the equation x+1 = 0. This is very simple to solve (obviously the solution is -1) if we are working with integers. Because they contain negative numbers. But what if we insist on using only positive numbers? Will there be a solution? If there is, then such a solution will somehow represent -1, with positive numbers. In this talk, we are going to explore which methods we can use to solve such an equation by only using positive numbers.
