n this talk, I will present a generalisation of the conditions for Turing diffusion-driven instability to bulk-surface reaction-diffusion systems. Bulk-surface reaction-diffusion systems are prevalent in cellular and developmental biology, biomedical applications and material sciences where reaction-diffusion systems inside a domain are coupled to reaction-diffusion systems on the surface. Real applications include rho-rhac cytosol-cortex spatiotemporal dynamics, pattern formation and many other applications in would healing, burns and inflammation. In this talk, I will review the latest models of bulk-surface type and then introduce analysis of these models to demonstrate their ability to give rise to pattern formation depending o the model parameters and the conditions for diffusion-driven instability. Bulk-surface finite element numerical simulations will support theoretical predictions.
