Alexei Oblomkov (UMass): An elementary categorification of quantum gl(1|1)

Abstract: Based on joint work with Lev Rozansky. In my talk I will introduce the super group GL(1|1) and compare it  (and its representations) to GL(2). Then I will explain a geometric construction for the tensor products of the vector representations of the quantum group  U_q(gl(1I1))  that is associated to gl(1|1). The construction relies on elementary properties of Grassmanians.
