Title: Augmented Stability Conditions

 

Abstract: I will discuss recent joint work with Daniel Halpern-Leistner constructing a modular partial compactification of (a quotient of) the space of stability conditions of a triangulated category. The boundary points in the compactification parametrize new categorical structures, called augmented stability conditions. I will explain these structures and their geometry through simple examples and explain how they shed light on mutation of semiorthogonal decompositions.
