The Babylonian Method of Finding the Square Root of Two

We will explore two methods of finding the decimal approximation of the square root of two. One will be a very elementary method that only requires a single theorem from Calculus 1. The other method, which is much more interesting, was used by the Ancient Babylonians. I will explain the mathematics behind this method and why it is better than the first.
