Factorization algebras are a mathematical tool for modeling the observables of classical and quantum field theories. In this talk I will consider two particular types of factorization algebra arising a setting where one has a group G acting on a manifold M: G-equivariant factorization algebras on M and factorization algebras on manifolds with a rigid geometry given by the G-action on M. I will describe the proof that the (\inty,1)-categories of these factorization algebras are equivalent, and outline the higher categorical structure involved.
