You must first be accepted to attend UMass Amherst through the Graduate School admission process—information is at www.umass.edu/gradschool.

Eligibility: U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status, and doctoral major in one of the following Umass departments: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mechanical & Industrial Engineering, Physics or Polymer Science & Engineering.

IGERT Fellows are chosen from those who have completed their first year of graduate study.
