Dr. Juan Jiménez is a recipient of a Graduate Education for Minorities Fellowship, a Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award, the National Institutes of Health K25 Mentored Quantitative Research Career Development award, the National Science Foundation CAREER award, and the Biomedical Engineering Society Innovation and Career Development Award.  His current research focuses on experimental cardiovascular biomedicine as well as biomedical implantable devices; past research includes turbulence and the conduction of the highest Reynolds number wake measurements ever recorded.
