Faculty Pilot Grant Submissions

Elaine Marieb Center for Nursing and Engineering Innovation (EMCNEI) - Faculty Pilot Grants

Timeline 

  • Applications due: February 7, 2025
  • Groups Selected & Awards Announced: Early March 2025
  • 12-month awards can start between May 1, 2025 – September 1, 2025

Funding

  • Awards of $15,000 (no indirect)
  • Awardees may apply post-award for open-source publishing and conference fees as funds are available; reviewed on a rolling basis

Eligibility 

  • UMass Amherst faculty in the Colleges of Nursing or Engineering are eligible 
  • Proposals require a minimum of one faculty member from Elaine Marieb College of Nursing and one faculty from the College of Engineering at UMass Amherst
  • Co-PIs are limited to one pilot grant proposal submission per grant cycle
  • Projects must use both Nursing and Engineering 

 

In addition to the EMCNEI Faculty Pilot Grant, there is an opportunity to apply for a Joint Grant from Institute of Diversity Sciences & EMCNEI
