What a post-Roe v. Wade world might look like
After the leak of the Supreme Court draft decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, many people wondered what a future without Roe v. Wade might look like—and now, that future is here. In May 2022, a panel of experts led by moderator Jennifer Lundquist, senior associate dean of research and faculty development and professor of sociology, gathered to discuss the issue. Topics included the history of Roe v. Wade, the politicization of the Supreme Court, 14th amendment legal issues, impacts on immigrant and BIPOC communities, local activism, and the future of medical abortion amid increasing state restrictions.
