Microbial Communities: We seek to understand naturally occurring communities and design synthetic model consortia for applications in human health and disease. Target areas include the human gut microbiome, pathogenic soil communities, deleterious multispecies biofilms, anti-biofouling strategies and engineered biofilm communities.
