Katherine W. Reeves
Research areas include cancer epidemiology, women's health, breast cancer, endocrine disruption.
Current Research
My research seeks to identify modifiable risk factors for breast cancer, with the ultimate goal of reducing breast cancer morbidity and mortality. Specifically, my research focuses on modifiable factors that may mediate breast cancer risk through hormonal pathways, including depression and/or antidepressant use, endocrine-disrupting chemicals such as bisphenol-A (BPA) or phthalates, and obesity and metabolic disease. I seek to understand how these factors may impact breast cancer risk and mammographic density (a strong breast cancer risk factor).
