Information Specific to the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures
How will I finish this semester's classes?
Instructors will be in touch with their students via UMass email with information about how their specific courses will be conducted and with updated syllabi. Students should contact their instructors with any questions.
International students who must remain on campus because of extenuating circumstances will also receive on-line instructions and will be subject to the same restrictions as all other students.

Can I get in the building?
No. Herter Hall is not currently accessible.
Are department events being cancelled?
All scheduled public events are cancelled.
Are tours available for prospective students and other visitors?
Not at this time. Please check back for information about when these will resume. In the meantime, faculty and staff are available by email if you have questions about our programs.
Will graduation and year-end events be affected?
UMass Commencement has been cancelled. We plan to find a way to honor our graduating theater students in place of our usual year-end ceremony and will share details as we develop those plans.
