New Students and Returning Students who Do Not Have Their Key
Before you arrive to campus, please log in to SPIRE>Main Menu>Move-In Reservation/Key Agmt to sign your Key Agreement. Students who have not signed their key agreement may experience delays when they arrive to campus. When you arrive to campus please proceed to your unload zone and then walk to your Residential Service Desk to pick up your room key. You do not need to make a reservation before checking in for spring.

Students who are Returning to the Same Assignment and Have Their Key
Before you arrive to campus, please log in to SPIRE>Main Menu>Spring Check-In to verify that you have the correct key. By completing Spring Check-In, students are verifying that you plan to live on campus for spring. Students who are not sure that they are returning to campus are encouraged to wait until they are sure they are returning before completing this form. Students who do not complete this form may be cancelled as a No-Show and will be subject to the cancellation fee schedule.
Please Note: Some keys have a 'floating' letter, which can be found either above or below the key code. If all letters and numbers are on your key, then you have the correct key. Please only mark the key code as 'wrong' if the letters and numbers do not match.

Traffic pattern changes will be in effect on Sunday, January 19th between 8:30am and 7:00pm in the CHCRC and Southwest Residential Areas.
- Hick’s Way will be one way only with entry available from Commonwealth Avenue.
- Fearing Street will be one way only with entry available from University Drive. Residence Halls that will need to use Fearing Street to gain access to their halls are: Cance, Coolidge, Washington, John Quincy Adams, John Adams. Please note: access to the Southwest concourse may close prior to 7pm depending on the rate of traffic.
- Sunset Avenue will be one way only between Fearing Street and Massachusetts Avenue with access from Massachusetts Avenue only. Residence Halls that will need to use Sunset Avenue to gain access to their halls are: Crampton, Prince, Patterson, MacKimmie.
Students that need to pick up a key should travel to there unloading zone then walk to their Residential Service Desk to pick up their key.
Oak, Linden - Navigate to Tobin Rd.
Birch, Maple, Sycamore, Elm - Navigate to Hicks Way
Cance, Coolidge, Washington, John Quincy Adams, John Adams - Navigate to the Southwest concourse from Fearing street by driving between Cance and Washington halls. (Sunday ONLY)
Crampton, Prince, Patterson, MacKimmie – Navigate to Sunset Ave via Massachusetts Ave
Thoreau – Navigate to Massachusetts Ave
Emmerson, Melville, James – Navigate to the Southwest Horseshoe via University Drive
Dickinson, Grayson, Field, Webster - Navigate to the Orchard Hill Quad by driving onto the sidewalk between Field and Webster halls. (Sunday ONLY)
Thatcher, Lewis and Johnson Halls: Navigate to Thatcher Road
Dwight, Leach, Mary Lyon and Crabtree Halls: Navigate to Northeast Quad via Eastman Lane
Hamlin, Knowlton: Navigate to Lot 43 via Eastman Lane
Brett, Brooks – Infirmary Way
Gorman, Wheeler – Butterfield Terrace
Baker: Navigate directly to your hall and use the loop on Clark Hill Road to unload directly at Baker Hall.
Chadbourne & Greenough: Navigate to Lot 49 via Chancellor’s Way
Van Meter/Butterfield - Navigate directly to your hall
Cashin, McNamara, Brown – Sylvan loop via Eastman Lane
North D and C – N Residential Drive
North A and B – N Thatcher Road
Students who are interested in moving in on Friday, January 17 can contact Residential Life Student Services at email@example.com or 413-545-2100 Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. to request Early Arrival. Students who move in before Sunday will be charged a $120 fee which will be applied to your spring bill after halls have opened.
If you are attending New Student Orientation on Friday, January 17, please plan to pick up your key and move your belongings into your room after NSO has completed, around 4 p.m.
A free shuttle runs between the Haigis Mall bus stop and residential areas between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sunday and Monday. Times are coordinated with the Peter Pan bus schedule.
Students who are unable to arrive by 10 p.m. on Monday, January 20th should contact Residential Life Student Services at 413-545-2100 to request late arrival status. If you cannot make it to campus by 11 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, be sure to contact us to avoid being reported as a no show and subject to cancelation of room assignment.
