Multi-year Communities
Multi-year communities are designed to provide sophomores, juniors and seniors with enriching experiences, autonomy and self-discovery, continued learning and connections with a diverse group of UMass Amherst students.
Corner Rooms in Towers
Corner Rooms in Southwest Towers come with the beds set up in a bunked position, since this is the most popular way students arrange these rooms. Although bunking beds is the most popular arrangement, students are free to arrange their furniture to suite their preferences. Planning to loft one or both beds instead? See the Your Room page for lofting instructions.
Defined Residential Community
Harambee is an inclusive and supportive community that honors African/African American/Black identities and provides intentional space for their cultures.
