Prior to Arrival

I Lost My Key
Students who lost their key over break should NOT complete Spring Check In on SPIRE. These students must check in at their Residential Service Desk upon arrival to receive a new key.

Completing Spring Check In
Video Tutorial

Beginning Sunday, January 21 at 8:00am, Students who have their key and are returning to the same room for spring must complete a Spring Check-In on SPIRE under Housing>Move-In/Move-Out>Self-Service Check-In. Students will be asked to verify that the code on their room key matches the code in our records.  Students with a matching key can go directly to their room when they arrive to campus.

Students with a key code that does not match must visit their Residential Service Desk when they arrive on campus to resolve the issue.  Please review the video tutorial for step-by-step instructions to complete Spring Check-In.  Students who have not completed the Spring Check-In Panel by 10:00pm on January 31 may have their spring assignment canceled as a No-Show.

Please Note: Some keys may have a letter located below or to the side of the key code.  This letter is part of the key code as well. When you are verifying your room key, if the letter is included in the code stored in SPIRE and all other information matches, your key code is correct.
(Ex 1AX-123 or 1XA-123 are considered correct codes if your key reads 1X-123 with an "A" printed below)

Your Residential Service Desk
There are eight Residential Service Desks (RSDs) on campus. Each RSD services multiple residence halls in close proximity to the building.  To determine which RSD serves your residence hall, please click here.
