Prior to May 17, 2024:

Students may return their key by mailing the key directly to their Residential Service Desk (RSD). In addition to the key, students must enclose the following information with the key: Name, Student ID, Hall and Room. Failure to include this information could result in an improper checkout and lock recore charge of $250.00.

Residential Services strongly advises keys be sent via a shipping method which offers tracking in a sturdy padded envelope in order to prevent a key being lost in transit. Standard envelopes with keys have a high probability of tearing in US Postal machines. Envelopes which arrive without keys will be considered lost and the student will be billed $250.00 for a recore. All keys returned by mail will be assessed a $100.00 mailed key fee.
