Each year Residence Education seeks qualified applicants for several graduate assistant opportunities.

Applications are accepted from current and potential graduate students at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Candidates must be enrolled as a full-time graduate student in a degree-granting program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst before being offered a position. Please refer to the specific position description for additional minimum and preferred qualifications.

Compensation

Compensation packages vary by position. Please refer to the specific position description for details.

Position Descriptions

The following are the 2019-2020 positions in Residence Education available to apply for. 

Assistant Residence Director Position - 20 hours*

Assistant Residence Director Position - 30 hours*

Assistant Residence Director/Apartment Living (North) - 20 hours*

Assistant Residence Director/Apartment Living (Lincoln) - 20 hours*

Assistant Residence Director/Apartment Living (North Village) - 20 hours*

Community Standards Graduate Assistant - 30 hours

Leadership and Engagement Graduate Assistant - 30 hours

Learning Communities Graduate Assistant / ARD – 30 hours*

*Live-in position - Furnished apartment provided as part of compensation package

The Residential Life Graduate Assistant Application is a Google form that times out after 30 minutes. We recommend you preview the questions and formulate answers outside of the form to allow for maximum time.

Priority Deadline is February 1, 2019.  

**Reminder: For those who applied previous year, you must re-apply each academic year to be considered in this years applicant pool**
