The Linguistics Minor consists of five linguistics courses:
LINGUIST 201 How Language Works: Introduction to Linguistic Theory (R2)
LINGUIST 301 Introduction to Syntax OR LINGUIST 302 Fundamentals of Speech Sounds
Two Linguistics department courses at the 300-level or above.
One Linguistics department course at the 400-level or above.
Notes on the minor
All five courses must be taken for a letter grade and completed with a grade of at least a C.
Courses from other departments may NOT be substituted.
If you take both LINGUIST 301 and LINGUIST 302, then one of the two will count as your required 301/302 course and the other will count as one of your two additional 300+ courses.
