Bio

Robin is a dual-degree master’s candidate in Regional Planning and Sustainability Science. She recently graduated from Umass Amherst with a B.S in Sustainable Community Development in May 2021. Robin currently works as a research assistant on an NSF funded project researching how models can aid in regional policy and decision making across the food, energy, and water sectors in New England. With a concentration in urban sustainability, Robin’s research focuses on how to better design our built environment using green infrastructure to create a more sustainable relationship with the natural environment. Robin’s interest in studying sustainability and planning began from growing up in Brewster, Cape Cod, having witnessed the destruction of the Cape's fragile and beautiful ecosystems from the damaging effects of climate change. In her free time, she likes to tend to her hoard of houseplants, practice roller skating, and take her dog for walks in nature.
