Ph.D. Student in Regional Planning
Mohammed works as a project manager at UMass Campus Planning. His responsibilities include overlooking facilities planning and infrastructure planning projects. Before coming to UMass, he worked as a project designer and job captain at Jung|Brannen & Associates, Elkus Manfredi Architects, and Sasaki Associates. His research interest includes planning for capital improvement projects that helps benefit the educational and institutional quality of the campuses for higher education. Mohammed is currently working towards preparation for comprehensive examination within the doctoral program in Regional Planning. He holds a Master of Regional Planning degree from UMass, Amherst, with a focus on planning university campuses for urban revitalization in collaboration with local government, business, nonprofits, and community. He also holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the Boston Architectural College and is a LEED Green Associate.
