Bio

Jamie Grasso (he/him pronouns) is a graduate dual degree student in Landscape Architecture and Architecture with an interdisciplinary bachelor's from UMass BDIC program in Green Roof Studies. He is a giant nerd about just about everything in the built and natural environments. He is an active advocate of building bridges across disciplines and communities and is passionate about creating LGBTQ+ and BIPOC equity in the design realm. His professional life has focused on horticulture and public-space design, his coolest project ever was designing naturalistic landscapes for endangered Mountain Gorilla and Orangutan care at the Denver Zoo. He speaks English and some Swahili, and has moonlighted as a pedicab operator, a boat builder, and a break dancer.
