Elena is a Ph.D. student in Regional Planning with research interests at the intersection of transportation and climate adaptation. Prior to joining the PhD program, she worked in environmental philanthropy in Boston. Elena is an avid bike advocate in Brookline and Northampton, MA. She holds a Masters degree from the University of Michigan in Environmental Policy and Planning, and a B.A. in Environmental Studies & International Affairs from Northeastern University. As a Tejana, Elena is always on the hunt for authentic Mexican food.
