Theodore Eisenman, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning and Director of the Master of Regional Planning program at UMass Amherst, was interviewed for an article, titled "Reflecting on Urban Greening at an Historic Inflection Point with Theodore Eisenman," published in Nature Cities on April 30, 2025. In the paper, Eisenman reflects on his research and discusses the growing interest in urban tree planting and related greening initiatives.

"In short, a bounty of urban greening practice, advocacy and related scholarship is emerging today, and this contemporary movement may represent the early stages of a novel chapter in the historical arc of our enduring aspiration to integrate the city (and culture) with nature," said Eisenman.
