BSLA & MLA alumna Lauren Luck was accepted into the ASLA 2024-2026 Women of Color Licensure Advancement Program (WCLAP). WCLAP supports underrepresented individuals in their pursuit of landscape architecture licensure through a two-year personalized experience including mentorship from a licensed landscape architect, exam preparation courses, and resources. Luck is a Landscape Designer at Thomas & Hutton in Savannah, GA.

"Being a part of the Women of Color Licensure Advancement Program has been an incredible journey for me. As the program progresses, I look forward to the professional relationship I will build within our group and getting to connect with inspiring women from all over the U.S. I am very excited to learn from the diverse experiences of my peers, whether they’ve been in the field for a year or two decades, everyone brings something special to the table, and the shared knowledge and support within the cohort are amazing. Overall, being part of a movement that champions diversity and inclusion in landscape architecture gives me a great sense of purpose. It shows that our voices experiences matter, and together, we are making strides towards a more inclusive profession. This program is more than just a step towards licensure – it’s a journey of growth, connection, and empowerment and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next."
