A message from the New2U Crew:
Hello everyone!
We are so excited to share that New2U, the very first on-campus thrift store, is up and running! We are located in Hampden DC in Southwest, across from the Hampden Gallery.
This space is dedicated to providing accessible and affordable items for everyone. It’s open to everyone - students, staff, faculty, and members of the greater community!
We have some awesome opportunities for everyone, regardless of your resources, skillset and unique talents!
1. Call for Donations!
If you’re doing some Spring Cleaning in your dorm and don’t know what to do with the old items, please bring them to New2U! We have a list of accepted items on our website. Please drop off donations any time! If you decide to drop them off during store hours, bring them to the front counter and receive a 20% off coupon to use on any item in the store!
In addition, Move-Out is one of the busiest times of the year for us. Please consider donating items ahead of the Move-out collection period to help us manage the load! :)
2. Calling All Artists, Vendors, and Small Business Owners
Are you a small business owner, vendor, or artist? Do you want to showcase your work in our digital and physical catalogue or even have it spotlighted in-store? Fill out our Artist & Vendor Inquiry Form
3. Clubs and Organizations: Let’s Collaborate!
If your club or organization would like to host an event with us, we’d love to partner with you! Submit your ideas using our Event Inquiry Form.
4. Need Volunteer Hours?
We’re always looking for volunteer staff! Our volunteers have exclusive opportunities while working at New2U, including employee discounts! Our volunteers have extremely flexible schedules and can work whenever they want! As a volunteer, you are more than just Counter Staff - you have the opportunity to implement new ideas, set up and help with events, help upkeep the store, assist with outreach, and so much more!
