The fall semester Zube Lecture Series kicks off with "Zoning Large Parcels for Reuse: Lessons from Hampshire College," by Jeff Bagg, AICP, the Director of Planning & Economic Development for the Town of Amherst, MA. Join us on Thursday, September 17th, at 4:00 p.m. in the John W. Olver Design Building Lecture Hall (room 170). Admission is free and open to the public. Snacks and drinks will be provided.

About the Talk

Confronted with this once-in a-generation challenge, this session will provide a glimpse into the ongoing planning process for rezoning Hampshire College land – one where decisions haven’t been made yet – and see how a group of planners are navigating this unique set of opportunities and challenges. 

About the Speaker

Jeff Bagg, AICP, has over a decade of additional experience in municipal planning and economic development in both the private and public sectors. As Amherst’s Planning & Economic Development Director, he will oversee the administration of land use planning and permitting, lead the development of both short- and long-range planning projects, and guide all economic development initiatives.
