An Education Backed by Professionals

Our department is committed to student success. This is why our landscape architecture and regional planning programs are fully accredited by professional organizations.

Accreditation means that our students receive a high quality education and learn the required skills to enter their profession after graduation. Our programs are regularly evaluated by accreditation boards to ensure that they meet national accreditation standards and criteria.

Our Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture (BSLA) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA) programs are accredited by the Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board (LAAB). Therefore, students who graduate from our landscape architecture programs are qualified to become a licensed landscape architect.

The Master of Regional Planning and PhD in Planning programs are accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB) in cooperation with the American Planning Association. This ensures that our planning students earn degrees that are nationally recognized for their professional quality, which promotes career success.

Visit the LAAB and PAB websites to learn more about accreditation standards.
