Ruben Flores-Marzan

Ruben has been planning and doing professionally at the local, state and national level since 1999. Born, raised and educated in Puerto Rico, he manages three jobs - family, work and academic work - with mucho gusto. Ruben holds a BA in Geography from the University of Puerto Rico, masters' degrees in Urban Planning and Geography from the University of Akron, and is working hard to finish his doctoral dissertation at LARP focusing on evaluating implementation of planning in Puerto Rico as a way to understand prior policy decisions and to inform the next steps after a catastrophic disaster like Hurricane Maria.
