Jen Stromsten is the Director of Programs for Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC). She earned a master's in regional planning from UMass Amherst in 2014 and currently serves on the Waugh Alumni Board. 

During her master's program, Jen focused on economically sustainable land use through infill-driven redevelopment in towns. Since then, Jen has conducted grant-writing, research and policy development relating to host community recovery from the economic impacts of nuclear plant closure. She has worked on community-based public participation and planning projects engaging diverse and multi-lingual communities in Marlboro, Greenfield, Turners Falls, Chicopee, Holyoke and Amherst, MA. Before becoming a planner and economic developer, Jen spent 20 years in non-profit fundraising developing results-driven, broad-based annual fund programs and volunteer networks. Jen also worked for two years to launch the Vermont Futures Project, in partnership with BDCC former Director, Jeff Lewis.
